Blogsy Version 4 for iPad Has Arrived
Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 09:18AM After searching high and low for a series of apps that could help me with mobile productivity, Scott Willsey of the Pocket Sized Podcast suggested I try Blogsy.
With that recommendation, I purchased the app for US$4.99 and, I haven't looked back. It is clearly the most developed app for anyone wishing to publish to various blog style sites.
A key advantage surrounds the simplicity when writing for various sites. From this single app I can post articles to MacSpecialist, MyMac, and MacTrast. These three sites are built on Wordpress and therefore well supported in Blogsy. The only disadvantage was the inability to publish to SquareSpace, the platform of choice for my websites.
This all changed upon the recent release of Blogsy 4.0. Blogsy now has built-in SquareSpace support and handles publishing to the platform much better than the SquareSpace dedicated iOS app.
All of this results in the iPad becoming a laptop replacement. Whilst it will not replace my need for a desktop Mac anytime soon, it can now handle 90% of my requirements.
All I need now is the ability to record Skype conversations on the iPad.
